Accredited editorial journalists can apply for a press pass to attend the NICE Annual Conference. Please email pressoffice@nice.org.uk to request your pass. No more than 2 press passes will be allocated to any one media outlet. 

Please note, the NICE Annual Conference 2012 will take place on the record, but filming or recording inside the conference plenary or streamed sessions or exhibition hall is not permitted. 

Any journalists wishing to request interviews with NICE spokespeople at the Conference must do so by email to pressoffice@nice.org.uk by Friday 11 May at the latest.

Shared Learning Awards 2012

Three organisations are in the running to win this year's Shared Learning Awards, following almost 60 entries from across the NHS, local authorities, and the voluntary and private sectors.

The three shortlisted entries are:

Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust for their work on improving the care of newborn babies with brain injury across the East of England

Manchester Mental Health and Social Care Trust for improving the quality of care for people with alcohol problems through implementing the NICE alcohol use disorders guidelines

West Middlesex University Hospital for assessing the impact of implementing a hospital discharge chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) care bundle on the respiratory ward at West Middlesex University Hospital
