Health Technology Wales

Health Technology Wales (HTW) is a national body working to improve the quality of care in Wales. It was formally launched in 2017 to deliver a strategic, national approach to the identification, appraisal and adoption of non-medicines technologies across the Welsh care sector. Its remit includes (but is not limited to); surgical and interventional procedures, medical devices, diagnostics, clinical interventions, psychological therapies, and changes in treatment pathways.

HTW collaborates with partners across the health, social care and technology sectors to ensure an all-Wales approach. It’s funded by Welsh Government and hosted within NHS Wales, but is independent of both.
